Product Overview
  • The Strength of an Epoxy and the Speed of an Instant Adhesive
  • Permanently Bonds Cap Rails, Hand Rails, and Their Accessories with Superior Strength Holding Power Up to 4,900 psi
  • Offers Handling Strength as Quickly as 60 Seconds, Full Cure in 24 Hours

To permanently bond Rails and their accessories we suggest this strong CRL Loctite® Metal Contact Cement adhesive system, with two different Primers to best suit your assembly time frame.

Use Cat. No. 7649 Primer to activate in 60 seconds, 60% of full strength in two minutes, and a full cure in 24 hours. When a longer curing time is needed use Cat. No. 7075 Primer to activate in five minutes, 60% of full strength in ten minutes, and a full cure in 24 hours.

For best performance surfaces should be clean and free of grease. Simply apply a generous amount of Primer to both of the bond surfaces and apply Adhesive to one of the surfaces. Position parts quickly and exactly as Adhesive begins to work immediately. Excess Adhesive outside joined surfaces can be wiped away with an organic solvent, such as our Cat. No. CRL2032 General Purpose Solvent and Adhesive Cleaner.
